I am proud to announce the availability of my very best and most original choral work to-date, a setting of THE CITY IN THE SEA by Edgar Allan Poe (1809–1849) for SATB chorus (divisi) unaccompanied. While only 6:40 in duration, this setting has been literally two decades in the making. As a composer, I am less interested in quantity than quality. Consequently I complete less music than many other more prolific composers do. This is especially true of major choral works. Since the early 1990s I have planned to complete a more extended version of this piece for orchestra and chorus. While I have made good progress on that version, it is still incomplete, so I decided to create an unaccompanied version without the orchestral introduction and interludes. I composed special section endings to make the unaccompanied version stand well on its own.

If you have the free Scorch plug-in from Sibelius.com you can look at and listen to the entire score by clicking here.
I am looking for a first-rate chorus to give this challenging work its world premiere performance. Any takers?
Thank you for your time and attention. I truly appreciate it.
