This gently satirical poem by John Godfrey Saxe (1816-1887) tells the tale
of six learned men who visit an elephant to discover its identity. Each being
blind, they acquaint themselves with different parts of the beast, and therefore
come to different conclusions: “Though each was partly in the right, And all
were in the wrong!” steady brisk tempo, medium difficulty
