Susquehanna Chorale Presents “A Candlelight Christmas”

December 17, 2016 at 8:00 pm – For more information visit susquehannachorale.org

The wonders of the season and the quiet joys of tradition unite in the Susquehanna Chorale’s Candlelight Christmas concerts.

Light glows in the darkness – literally and figuratively – as the Chorale performs both new and familiar songs of the season.

Join us as the singers’ voices weave a tapestry of hope and fulfillment in Mendelssohn’s There Shall a Star from Jacob Come Forth, and as we present Ralph Vaughan Williams’ ever-popular Fantasia on Christmas Carols.

Dan Forrest’s majestic arrangement of The First Noel is an audience favorite, and Mack Wilberg’s Christmas is Coming captures the festivity and language of the season as it has come down to us from our British forebears.

The evening ends with the Chorale’s traditional finale, Silent Night, sung in the round. Make it your tradition, too!
