The select 52-voice Stetson University Concert Choir will be presenting a concert of beautiful choral music on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 7:30pm at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, located at 1935 St. Clair Avenue, St. Paul, MN. The Concert Choir is under the direction of Dr. Timothy Peter, Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Stetson University. Prior to his appointment and tenure at Stetson, he was Professor of Music and on the choral faculty at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa from 1991-2012. The March 10th performance will feature repertoire including works by J.S. Bach, Alessandro Scarlatti, Russian composer Alexander Gretchaninoff, and the French “Messe” by Frank Martin. Additional pieces will include favorite folk melodies and hymns from the sacred church tradition. The concert is free and open to the public.
