St. John Passion (1725 version) in Dallas – April 1

The University of North Texas Collegium Singers and Baroque Orchestra perform J.S. Bach’s St. John Passion in the rarely heard 1725 version April 1, 7 PM, a the Church of the Incarnation in Dallas.

The period-instrument orchestra and Collegium Singers, conducted by Richard Sparks, are joined by Steven Soph as Evangelist and Stephen Morscheck as Jesus. The orchestra is led by Cynthia Roberts, UNT baroque violin faculty. The continuo team is also from the UNT faculty, cellist Allen Whear and organist Brad Bennight.
