Singers from a Finchampstead choir stepped into the shoes of
The Beatles when recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios.
Members of the St James’ Choir put on headphones and sang into
microphones for a professional recording at the London studios on
June 18.
The recording was part of a massed choirs production of composer
Karl Jenkins’ newest work, The Peacemakers.
Andrew Bosley, director of music at the choir, said: “It was
brilliant and it all went extremely well.
“We had a rehearsal in the morning and then went to Abbey Road
and did the recording which was conducted by Karl
Jenkins.
