SPRINGFIELD, IL — A quick glance through the Guinness Book of World Records will show that no high school choir is recognized for memorizing and performing 100 songs in one school year. Springfield High School’s choir is trying to become the first.
Choir directors Damien Kaplan and Kathy Elmore presented their idea to the students in the Seven and Senators Choir, a group of 20 students that make up the top choir at the high school.
But when they told the students about their idea, they left out one little detail.
