Applications are now open for a concert choir, conducted by J David Moore, for the 2023 National Conference of the Christian Fellowship of Art Music Composers which will take place at Meetinghouse Church in Edina, Minnesota. The choir will perform Thursday June 22 at 7pm, with rehearsals June 12,15, and 21 6:30-8:30, and June 22 at 5:30pm. The program consists entirely of music by composers who will be present, and a performance of “A New Song” by guest artist, Scottish composer James MacMillan (who will give a masterclass Friday June 23 via zoom). No religious affiliation is needed to participate. Singers will receive their music five weeks prior to the first rehearsal and are expected to be prepared at the first rehearsal. Applications should be emailed to by Monday May 1, and must include:
1) name
2) email & phone contact information
3) voice part
4) singing experience
Applicants must be available for all scheduled rehearsals and concert. All selected singers will have a week to look over music in May before a final commitment May 15. Participating singers will receive free admission to the conference (all concerts, masterclass, and guest lectures). Evening concerts (including the choral concert) are open to the public.
