The Florida Orchestra announces first-ever ‘Sing Out! Tampa Bay’ concert

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – This spring new Music Director Michael Francis will lead The Florida Orchestra’s first-ever “Sing Out! Tampa Bay” concert, a sing-along event that features a community chorus performing onstage with the orchestra for one night only.

“The beauty of a singing event is that everybody can participate,” said Maestro Francis. “It is the most natural form of musical communication. Just imagine the power of bringing together so many people as one community, with one voice.”

This is the first time The Florida Orchestra has presented an entirely community-based sing-along concert. The debut event will be from 7 to 9:30 pm, Tuesday, April 26, at the Mahaffey Theater, 400 First St. S, St. Petersburg. Admission is pay what you can.

If you are interested in participating, contact Danielle Rossbach, Community Engagement Manager
