SHILLONG, INDIA – What started as an attempt to hone musical talent in the northeast, took the country by storm and in 2010, the Shillong Chamber Choir won India’s Got Talent Khoj 2.
This fifteen-member choir group then went on to bag three golds at the 6th World Choir Games in Shanghai, and followed it up by performing for US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama during their state visit to India the same year.
It has been nearly a decade since the group’s formation, and nobody takes music more seriously than the Shillong Chamber Choir.
