Sacred Music Summer Conference w/ Tim Sharp

Dr. Tim Sharp teaches choral blend and choral balance, and leads the 90-voice Wesleyan Festival Chorus in a concert of sacred choral works to close the 2016 Sacred Music Summer Conference at Virginia Wesleyan College. (Dates: July 25-30, 2016)

In addition, some 45 class sessions will be offered by Patti Drennan (volunteer choirs), Craig Courtney (anthems for all choirs), Bryson Mortensen (conducting), Rob Monath (copyright laws) Heather Olson (children’s choirs), Charlotte Brandt (pre-school choirs), John Behnke (handbells), Charles Callahan (organ), and more. Evening events include prayer using the music of Taize, festival worship with a massed handbell choir led by John Behnke, a question answer session with attorney Rob Monath, a hymn festival led by Charles Callahan, and the closing concert led by Tim Sharp with the Wesleyan Festival Brass and Stephen Z.
