Repertoire for Academic Institutions and Their Anniversaries

November 11, 2015 by Brenda C. Kayne Leave a Comment

Two works of mine have been performed at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.  Last year, the chamber choir sang “Emmersione,” as part of a concert celebrating the 100th anniversary of “the fire” in which the school burnt down and the decision was made to rebuild the school and continue.  This past October, the wind ensemble and concert choir performed “Generations of Heart” to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of the school.  While this piece was written specifically for Henderson, it can be re-worked for other academic institutions.  To see and hear both works, go to www.songsforall.com and click on Browse to find both pieces.
