EAU CLAIRE, WS — Evan Lloyd looks almost like the students he teaches.
The Memorial High School choir director’s professional attire — a pair of black slacks topped by a lime-green button-down shirt — is about the only thing setting the fresh-faced 25-year-old apart from the T-shirt-and-jeans-clad teenagers under his charge.
The young teacher is turning parents’ and students’ heads, though. Mixing a lifelong enthusiasm for music with an endearing personality, he’s drawing kids into Memorial’s choir program and thrusting that program into a limelight it hasn’t seen in years.
