PJR New Work Announcements: Yonder Come Day arrangement for SATB, TTBB, or SSAA choir, a cappella

Today I’m introducing the award-winning narrative arrangement of the Georgia Sea Islands spiritual Yonder Come Day. This arrangement has skyrocketed since its SATB version premiere at the NCCO national conference in Portland this past fall, and now is available via ECS Publishing through the NCCO Choral Series in all three voicings of TTBB, SSAA, and SATB.

“Paul John Rudoi’s arrangement of Yonder Come Day deepens the traditional Georgia Sea Islands tune with a narrative journey. Through other well known spirituals, including Hush, Hush, Somebody’s Calling My Name, Steal Away, and Swing Low, Sweet Chariot, we move forward and upward, hoping for a better day. Infectious fun for the singers and the audience.”

– Kennesaw State University under Dr. Leslie J. Blackwell (performance at 2016 ACDA Southern Division, Chattanooga)
– Virginia Glee Club under Frank Albinder
– St. Cloud State under Matthew Ferrell
