PerformOUTKC names Michelle A McIntire as Artistic Director & Conductor

Kansas City, Missouri, April 9th 2012 – PerformOUTKC is thrilled to announce Michelle A McIntire as its new Artistic Director & Conductor. Mrs. McIntire is a music educator, voice and piano coach and conductor. We are very fortunate for this new partnership as Mrs. McIntire brings a wealth of artistic talent and knowledge that so candidly complements our artistic vision.

 

Mrs. McIntire is currently the Director of Music at St Theresa’s Academy in Kansas City and was formally the Artistic Director of Crescendo: Tampa Bay Women’s Chorus. Both Tampa Bay Women’s Chorus and PerformOUTKC are proud member organizations of GALA Choruses, a gay and lesbian choral movement with a vision of “Our Voices win Freedom”

 

PerformOUTKC is Kansas City’s first and only performing arts group for LGBTQIA young people and their allies. PerformOUTKC provides a safe and inclusive atmosphere for youth of any and all identities, which foster positive identity development through excellence in music performance and creative expression. PerformOUTKC is a non for profit organization, established in 2008 as an educational outreach performing arts program. Our artistic mentors have high skills in the arts as well as sensitivity to the individual needs of the members. Please help us welcome Michelle to the PerformOUTKC family.
