In response to the ever-increasing requests for funds by public school music teachers nationwide, the nonprofit Peter R. Marsh Foundation of Camas, WA. has sharply increased the annual quota of its popular Middle School Music Grant program from 400 to 800 for the 2024-25 school year.
Additionally, the dollar value of the Grant was increased to $1,250 and teachers can now apply for additional funds to defer student transportation expenses. “Seeing that this Grant has become so meaningful to the teachers, students and their communities across America, the Board of Directors was inspired to invest more in school music programs.” said Jan Greco, Program Administrator of the Music Grant project, “In the 2024/25 school year I am anticipating that over 50,000 music students, nationwide, will benefit greatly through the generosity of this Foundation.”
The Peter R. Marsh Foundation also annually awards 750 Silent Servant Scholarships to high school students who are nominated by their school counselor for voluntary benevolence in their communities and numerous additional Grants to high schools to form a student Pathways Club which effectively implants self-worth and personal pride in students with unrealized potential.
