Setting a poem by the ever-popular Sara Teasdale, this new work is a commissioned score by Connor Koppin written as Composer-In-Residence with The Master Singers in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Teasdale speaks of her remembrance of “beauty in the night” stating that “You are the rarest soul I ever knew” and “My thoughts seek you as waves that seek the shore. I am at rest.” This secular setting is suitable for a high school, community or university level choral ensemble.
