A new setting of the new ICEL English translation of the Gloria used in the Roman Catholic Mass from Praying Twice Press.
It is written to promote congregational participation by—
- Using an attractive melody that spans only one octave and avoids awkward rhythms.
- Employing the entire text – straight through – without using a refrain.
- Keeping melodic and harmonic content grouped around the thematic sections of the text.
Scored for Congregation/Cantor, SATB Choir, Organ/Keyboard and optional B-flat trumpet.
You can preview the melody and keyboard part for the entire work in this YouTube video.
