NEW RELEASE: “Beyond This Day”, by Anthony Kouri Williams, is a simple, straight-forward composition with a deep, not-so-simple message. Written in the style of a folk hymn or spiritual, the repeating harmonic patterns and short melodic motives make this work accessible to a wide range of mixed ensembles and also allows the work to be prepared for performance in a very short amount of time. The original text speaks about looking toward the future and how we might look back from that future to jude our past actions with regard to helping others and making the world a better place to live.
