HONOR is a lovely Memorial Day tribute to all Civil Servants who serve our nation at home and abroad. Originally written in honor of Baney’s father, Lt. Col. W.A. Ensign, U.S.A.F, retired (service 1953-1979). The soaring theme of “Thanks” represents one of his service tasks: supervising the refueling of jets midair. This wonderful piece will be a powerful addition to your Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day library. It’s powerful text and strong accompaniment is thoughtful and expressive. Whether you sing it in unison, SA or SAB with piano or orchestra, it will leave a lasting memory.
