New Jersey Camerata debuts

November 3, 2011 by Allen H Simon Leave a Comment

The New Jersey Choral Society will present the debut performance of its chamber choir, NJCS Camerata, in "a sacred space" on Sunday, Nov. 6, at 3 p.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 30 North Fullerton Ave.

According the Knapp, the new NJCS ensemble "was created to offer a special opportunity for our singers and audience to explore a very special part of the choral canon.

The New Jersey Choral Society is one of the state’s most prestigious choral groups. Well-known for presenting outstanding and unique programs, they have performed in the White House and Carnegie Hall and have had performance tours in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, China, and Australia. Next summer they will perform at Westminster Hall in London as part of the prelude to the Summer Olympics with a follow-up trip and performance in Edinburgh, Scotland.
