I am proud to announce that my brand new edition of Johann Adolf Hasse’s Miserere Mei Deus (from the Miserere in c minor), is now available. This new edition is published by Alliance Music Publications (AMP-0950) and is scored for SSAA choir, 2 violins, 2 violas, cello, bass and continuo. The edition is based upon a hand copied orchestral score located in the music collection of the Prussian State Library in Berlin. In addition to the vocal score, an orchestral score and instrumental parts, including a realization of the figured bass for keyboard, are also available. This edition was commissioned by Rebecca Rottsolk, conductor of Mirinesse Choir in Seattle, and received four performances by this ensemble in and around the Seattle area over the last two weeks of March.
