new arrangement of “It’s my mother’s birthday today”

Now available from Paul Ayres: an arrangement of the 1930s song “It’s my mother’s birthday today”, for S-A-Bar and piano. Medium easy.

The lyrics of the chorus begin: “It’s my mother’s birthday today, / I’m on my way / with a lovely bouquet. / For me it’s the happiest date, / I won’t be late / at her old cottage gate.” Even 80 years ago this must have seemed nostalgic!
