A Voice for Yourself is a Voice for Others

Heading into the post-Labor Day week, we found ourselves thinking about songs that celebrate the triumphs of collective action and recognize the power of one’s voice to change the world.

In light of the tragic incidents in Minneapolis last week, we wish to also express our deepest sympathy to the families directly impacted and to the many others moving through this time with heavier hearts.

Paul John Rudoi’s arrangement of “America the Beautiful” is simple for a reason. The work uses the familiar tune in healthy ways for TTBB choir, and includes a narrative moment with several adapted quote options to bring home its message of community, empathy, and the ideal of selfless patriotism.
