May Fest extends Porco

Porco, who concluded his 22rd May Festival season last weekend, has provided the artistic choral leadership for more May Festivals than any other chorus director in the history of the May Festival.

“There is a tremendous spirit that the May Festival Chorus has that I have not encountered anywhere else,” Porco said. “It is gratifying to have the singers devote hundreds of hours to rehearsals and performances and still love to do it so much. One cannot underestimate how much that love of music and joy of singing brings to any performance.”
