May 22, My Heart is Longing: A Nordic Contemplative Hymn Festival

May 21, 2016 by Paul Stever Leave a Comment

On May 22, 2016, a hymn festival featuring music from Nordic lands (including a number of beautiful anthems from Norwegian-American Ola Gjeilo) will be presented by musicians of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. We will be joined at the 6:30pm service by the Mindekirken Choir and Pilgrim’s Nordic Contemplative Evening Prayer musicians, Peggy Larson (cantor) and Rachel Jensen (fiddle). The festival will occur at 9:30am at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1935 St. Clair Ave in St. Paul and at 6:30pm at the Mindekirken (The Norwegian Lutheran Memorial Church) at 924 E. 21st St. in Minneapolis. For more information about the churches go to www.PilgrimStPaul.org and www.mindekirken.org.
