Mark Ramsay Selected As CCC Conducting Fellow

May 8, 2016 by Corey Ticknor Leave a Comment

The CCC is pleased to announce that Toronto-based music educator and conductor Mark Ramsay has been chosen as the Conducting Fellow for the choir’s August 2016 tour of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Mr. Ramsay will work closely with artistic director Julia Davids and associate conductor Joel Tranquilla and will rehearse and conduct a portion of the concert program repertoire during the tour.

Mark spent 10 years as a public school music educator in Summerside, PEI, and is now pursuing doctoral music studies at the University of Toronto under the guidance of Dr. Hilary Apfelstadt. He was an apprentice conductor with the 2014 Ontario Youth Choir and is currently the director of the University of Toronto Men’s Chorus and the assistant conductor and pianist of the Exultate Chamber Singers. Mark is a proud recipient of an Elmer Iseler National Graduate Fellowship in Choral Conducting.

Congratulations Mark
