Join us at 8PM on Friday March 10th and Saturday March 11th in NYC
Choral Chameleon, led by Artistic Director Vince Peterson, harnesses our 12-voice professional ensemble and 30-voice chorus to explore the extended uses of a choir in this one-of-a-kind presentation of concerti for virtuosic instrumental soloists – replacing the usual orchestra with nothing but human voices.
Program:
Concerto fo Piano and Chorus – 2017 – Rex Isenberg
Six Joyce Songs (II) – 2012 – Conrad Susa (with piano)
Concerto Per La Beata Virgine – 2000 – Vic Nees (with oboe)
Concerto for Marimba & Choir – 2010 – Gene Koshinski*
Ha! for Solo Viola & Shouty Chorus – 2011 – Robbie Ellis
We’re delighted to welcome the composer of the marimba concerto, Gene Koshinski, who will be making a stop on his East Coast tour with his fellow percussionists to play with us!
LA-based Composer-in-Residence Rex Isenberg will be in attendance at both concerts.
Advance Tickets $25 / Door Tickets $35
