The Lutheran Youth Choir International is pleased to announce that it will be returning to Germany for its fifth Festival of Global Vocal Music, July 12-25, 2017. High school and college students selected by audition will join in singing with German students, living and rehearsing together at Schloss Mansfeld, a 14-century fully-restored castle in Martin Luther’s boyhood town of Mansfeld. Presenting a Service of Evening Prayer for Peace, the choir plans to sing in schools and churches in cities and towns including Berlin, Erfurt, Brandis, and Mansfeld, and will be seeing significant Bach and Luther sites such as the Wartburg Castle and Bach House. The trip ends with a two-day visit to the exciting capital city of Berlin. There are just a few remaining seats available on the flight from Chicago to Berlin and back for any additional high school singers who may be interested. $3,199 includes everything, and scholarship help is available. For further information, go to www.lutheranyouthchoir.org, and contact Founding Conductor Philip Spencer at immediately if interested.
