“Star of the East” is a new setting for mixed choir (SATB, with some divisions) and orchestra – or piano/organ. It was performed last Christmas by the London Symphony Chorus at the Barbican, and the previous year by the City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus in Symphony Hall. You can look through the vocal score and hear a recording of a live performance at: http://www.swirlymusic.org/music/choral-music/gordon-thornett-star-of-the-east-satb-chorus/ – where it can also be purchased as printed music or as a digital download.
Currently Swirly Music are running a promotion of 10% discount on all their choral titles (print or download versions) – you just need to add the code “swirly-early” at checkout!

I don’t know why the link to Swirly Music hasn’t come through as a live link. Here’s another attempt: if it doesn’t work I’m afraid copy and paste is the only alternative! http://www.swirlymusic.org/music/choral-music/gordon-thornett-star-of-the-east-satb-chorus/
