GROTON, MA — The 30-member Groton-Dunstable High School Chamber Choir got an invitation by email last August that was first believed to be spam.

The legitimate invitation came from a Colorado based company that does international bookings for entertainment at the Olympic games.  The email was asking if the choir was interested in performing for this summer’s Olympics in London.

“It didn’t really sink in.  It still really hasn’t sunk in.  I don’t think it will sink in until I’m on the airplane or maybe at an event singing.  I’ll be like, ‘oh my God, where are we?'” said choir member Tray Durst, 18.

“We’ve never even sung in front of more than 500 people and we’re going to be performing in a stadium in front of 70,000 people, so I think it will be amazing,” said choir member Clara O’Rourke, 18.
