LONDON, UK — Lady Gaga gave the Capital Children’s Choir her
stamp of approval after the young group posted a haunting rendition
of the pop star’s hit ‘Judas.’
“This is so flawless and otherworldly,” the singer tweeted on
Thursday with a link to a video of the cover. “What a beautifully
haunting arrangement of my song. You girls are so talented.”
The clip shows the older girls from the London-based singing
club using their voices in rounds and layered harmonies to put a
beautiful spin on the club-ready track. The song was arranged by
choir founder Rachel Santesso, who, according to the video’s
description, received a special request from Perez Hilton to cover
the tune.
The Capital Children’s Choir is no stranger to producing pop
covers. The group, which boasts over 100 members, has created
renditions of songs by Lily Allen, Elton John, Bjork, Guns N’ Roses
and more. In fact, the choir was even invited to sing alongside the
Spice Girls on 18 dates during their 2008 reunion tour.
