His duties will include conducting the ANC Concert Singers, Women’s Choir, Chamber Singers and the ANC Community Choir.
A native of southeast Arkansas, Hearnsberger comes to Arkansas Northeastern College after completing his music and educational studies in central Arkansas. He has degrees in applied vocal music, music history and literature, as well as graduate degrees in secondary education and educational leadership. His area of research for his graduate degrees included an examination of choral music involvement of public high school students upon literacy achievement.
After teaching for three years in parochial schools, he taught for five years in the public school systems in England, Ark., and Little Rock. During this time, he served as choral director/music educator for these schools and the programs under his direction experienced dynamic growth and musical accomplishments.
