International award for choir stalwart

August 30, 2012 by Richard Allen Roe Leave a Comment

BERWICK, UK — IN any choir one of the most
demanding jobs is to manage the ever-changing sets of music for each member, and with 35-40 singers, Berwick Male Voice Choir presents a daunting challenge.

For many years now Ken Francis has taken the chore on board and has developed an ingenious and effective way of managing the huge number of vocal sets required for each session plus the vast library of music from which they are selected.  He has long been highly valued by his colleagues but now his expertise has been recognised by The International Association of Music Librarians which has awarded him their Excellence and Personal Achievement Award.
