In memory of J. Reilly Lewis

June 15, 2016 by david katz Leave a Comment

The American Prize notes with sadness the sudden death of TAP laureate, acclaimed choral director, J. Reilly Lewis, founder of the Washington Bach Consort and music director of the National Cathedral Choral Society. The Washington Bach Consort won The American Prize in Choral Performance (professional division) in 2011, the same year the Cathedral Choral Society achieved third place in the community chorus division.

We send condolences to Maestro Lewis’s family, and to his many musical colleagues nationwide.

Here is the article in the Washington Post.
