HS Choral students take on challenging ‘Dido and Aeneas’

“It’s very different from what I usually do,” says senior Victor Costa, who portrays the Trojan prince Aeneas. “The music took some getting used to.”  It’s an ambitious project for high-school choral students, but choral instructor Matt Koller says his singers are up to the task.

Koller wanted something new to stretch his students’ abilities. The choral department already performs choral pieces by Schubert and other classical composers, plus the occasional pop song.  “We’ve never done this before,” he says. “This is the first time.”
