VICTORIA, BC — Elizabeth MacIsaac, founder of women’s medieval vocal group Ensemble Laude, will receive the Herbert Drost Award on Sunday.

The B.C. Choral Federation gives the award for distinguished service and support of choral music throughout the province.  MacIsaac will receive the award at the choir’s spring concert at 3 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.

She is the director of the orchestra and concert choir at Brentwood College School, where she also teaches piano and voice and also coaches the musical theatre lead vocalists. She has performed with groups including the Portland Baroque Orchestra, the Victoria Symphony and CapriCCio Vocal Ensemble.
