Boosey & Hawkes In High Voice Series
SSAA a cappella chorus
Commissioned by the 2012 ACDA Women’s Choir R&S Commissioning Consortium, the entire piece drives toward the last line of Stacy Gnall’s poem: “big brother, I am catching up to you.” One long, rhythmic race, this selection will be a wonderful contrast to much of the repertoire often included in women’s choral concerts.

SATB a cappella chorus
This beautiful text by contemporary poet Annie Finch is a love song describing the most beautiful and intimate images of love – “warm hands,” “gentlest sounds, touches and hours”. The text is set apart and isolated in sound, marked by gentle silences until halfway through the piece when the voices finally merge together, remaining that way – finally united, until the very end. A Valentine for Hands was the 2013 winner of the Yale Glee Club Emerging Composers Competition.
SATB chorus & piano
A constantly-flowing, lush setting of a Christmas poem by Dollie Radford, The Christmas Rose was the winner of The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay’s Christmas Carol Contest.
