Festival Napa Valley is inspired by the resilience we have seen in the music community during the spread of COVID-19. In response to the overwhelming number of cancelled performances and lost musical opportunities, we’re inviting you to join Festival Napa Valley’s Remote Ensemble (FNVRE). You’ll record your part remotely with the video of our virtual conductor, upload your part, and each one will be combined into one FNVRE video performance.
We’ve chosen to program ‘Va, pensiero’ from Verdi’s Nabucco, an anthem historically used to unify people in support of culture and the arts.
The website at the top is where you’ll find the ensemble’s introduction video and everything you need to create your remote recording. Simply download the part, follow the instructions included, and upload your media to our website. We’re accepting videos until March 31, 2020.
