Earthsong – Choir and Orchestra

Dear Choral Directors,

The recent news about the impending extinction of over a million species owing to human activity had me thinking about ‘Earthsong’ again.

Performance level – moderate

This piece had a wonderful European premiere last year – Northern Ireland’s finest choir and the renowned Ulster Orchestra. The audience reaction, as with the premiere in Kentucky in 2005, was overwhelming – emotional and most positive. No recording!!! – union rules apparently. But director Stephen Doughty is most happy to provide a testimonial and answer questions.

I will supply PDF choral and orchestral parts for free. Yes, I know that offering anything for free tends to devalue it! But taking on the logistics of any choral/orchestral piece are formidable so I want to remove any obstacle.
