“Dare To Be Powerful ” Choral Series / Bold Repertoire for Women’s Voices

The women’s choir rehearsal room, so often a nurturing oasis for many,can also be a hotbed of resistance and a wellspring of hope for women of all ages.

Joan Szymko has been stirring up the pool of repertoire for women’s voices for over three decades,as both a composer and conductor. Still she persists! Her newly announced “DARE TO BE POWERFUL”choral series encourages women to stretch, to grow, to lead the way in speaking (singing) truth to power.

DARE TO BE POWERFUL titles include new 2017 releases and “tried and true”titles. Programming DTBP titles will cultivate dialogue and can foster understanding of the challenges facing women.
