Founded in 1959, the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) is a nonprofit music-education organization whose central purpose is to promote excellence in choral music through performance, composition, publication, research, and teaching. In addition, ACDA strives through arts advocacy to elevate choral music’s position in American society.
“Dallas is home to the country’s largest contiguous urban arts district and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, one of the foremost symphony orchestras in the world, making Dallas the perfect city to host the ACDA’s 9000 choral directors for an annual conference,” said Phillip Jones, President and CEO of the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau (DCVB). “Attendees will not only experience the true Dallas difference, they will also have the unique opportunity to utilize the world-class facilities of the Dallas Arts District for their national conference.”
