The long-time vision of the Cincinnati Children’s Choir (CCC) is coming to life with the help of an anonymous donor, Interkultur, and DunnHumby. The Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) Honor Choir will premiere on the stage of Cincinnati’s Aronoff Center under the direction of CCC’s Founder Robyn Lana and guest conductor/commissioned composer Rollo Dilworth.
The ensemble is mentored by CCC’s advanced choir and will meet for three Saturday rehearsals prior to performing in a Celebration Concert of the World Choir Games. The children have the unique opportunity to work not only with CCC and it’s staff but with Rollo Dilworth and, at the games, with John Jacobson. The opportunity is reaching 80 children and their music teachers in CPS and is free of charge for the students.
If you are attending the Games, you may see the choir in a workshop the afternoon of July 8 or in the Celebration Concert that evening.
