The American Choral Directors Association is pleased to announce that the Choral Journal has been recognized as a Gold Award winner the 2011 Marcom competition.
Sponsored by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the MarCom Awards international competition recognizes outstanding creative achievement in the marketing and communication industry. MarCom entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers that range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies. There were over 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in the 2011 competition.
The Choral Journal has garnered two awards in the competition. A Gold Award for Cover Art was received for the art by Efrain Guerrero that appeared on the April 2011 issue of the Choral Journal. The publication also earned a Gold Award for Layout and Interior Art that featured the skills of Managing Editor Ron Granger and artist Tammy Brummell in the June/July, 2011 issue.
“We are immensely proud of the creative team that has developed the Choral Journal into a publication that not only features first-class choral scholarship, but does so in a way that has now been independently recognized for graphic and artistic excellence,” said Tim Sharp, ACDA’s Executive Director. “We congratulate Efrain, Ron, Tammy, and the entire Choral Journal staff for this accomplishment.”
