Choir hits high note

July 24, 2012 by Richard Allen Roe Leave a Comment

MACEDON, AUSTRALIA — THE Young Voices of Macedon choir will continue to hit the high notes thanks to a $1000 grant from Macedon Ranges Council.  Young Voices of Macedon is a small but growing community choir for singers aged six to 13.

It was one of 65 community groups that were successful in applying for funds in the council’s annual community funding scheme.  More than 80 applications were received.  The choir was awarded $1000 to help stage a concert, to be titled Songs of the Ranges, in October.  (photo: Matthew Furneaux)
