Chicago Choral Artists will be holding auditions for its 2016–17 Concert Season on May 13, 14, and 16 at Grace Lutheran Church, 7300 Division Street, in River Forest.
The 2016–17 includes its traditional Candlelight Christmas concerts, performances of Bach’s St. John Passion with the Bach Cantata Vespers Orchestra and Chorus of Grace Lutheran Church in River Forest, a program of sacred music, and a program of music for choir and percussion.
Rehearsals of Chicago Choral Artists are generally September through May on Tuesday evenings in River Forest.
Auditions are held with Chicago Choral Artist’s Artistic Director, Michael D. Costello. Candidates should bring a resume, prepare one aria or art song (and bring a copy for accompanist), and be prepared to do some vocalizing and sight-reading.
