New Anthem in three verses for SATB/Piano. Text and music by John Metz, self-published MetzScores.com.
Charismagical Alternates peppy unison sections with more broadly expressive SATB sections. The text affirms the joy of a congregation working and singing together. Could also be done as a response between choir and congregation.
1st Verse: Unison — What gets me out of bed, and into my little gas miser car in the morning, on a Sunday morning? What gets me in through the doors on a Sunday morning where does the joy come from on this special day? SATB – Singing assembled, our voices expand, and all weave together in rhythm and sound. Working with purpose our many hands join together ‘till freedom and justice abound.
