From the comfort of her own home, Norris and 3,745 others from around the world will serenade millions attending the London Olympics as part of a virtual three-dimensional soundscape, which will cover the entire length of the Millennium Bridge.
The soundscape includes a recording of choral composer Eric Whitacre’s virtual choir, which is made up of 3,746 voices from 73 different countries singing his composition, “Water Night.” A spoken narrative voiceover will be looped with the music, performed by Mia Austen and Steven Alexander, reciting poet Mario Petrucci’s work.
