The Indianapolis Symphonic Choir (ISC) and Butler University are pleased to announce the continuation of their Conducting Fellowship-a Graduate Assistantship offering full support for a graduate student in Butler’s Master of Music degree in choral conducting.
Acknowledged as a model partnership between a professionally managed performing arts organization and one of our nation’s oldest collegiate schools of music, the ISC conducting fellowship offers professional mentoring opporunities with the 200-voice symphonic chorus. The ISC Conducting Fellow gains a wealth of insight into the administrative and artistic operations of the professionally managed chorus, including strategic planning, rehearsal organization, coaching professional soloists, auditions, orchestral considerations, budgeting, board relations and more. In exchange for services rendered, the Conducting Fellow is a fully funded Graduate Assistantship at Butler University, receiving full time tuition remission and a monthly stipend.
Interested candidates should contact ISC Artistic Director and Butler’s Director of Choral Activities Dr. Eric Stark at estark<at>butler<dot>edu for more information.
