In 1988, a new festival and competition series for choirs to enjoy singing through competitive and noncompetitive way in one big event were started. Meet MAestro Gábor Hollerung and Piroska Horváth at a place where it all begun and be part of the 2017´s edition.

Choirs may compete in the following categories such as:
-Mixed Choirs,
-Male Choirs
-Female Choirs
-Chamber Choirs
-Children and Youth Choirs as well as
-Musica Sacra, Folklore and more.

Choirs may register to take part at the Opening Concert performing Dvořák: Stabat Mater at the Bartók Béla National Concert Hall. Choirs prepare the piece prior to the competition, at the venue they have the chance to rehearse with Maestro Gábor Hollerung together with all participating choirs. Choirs may take part only at the Opening Concert.

We are cordially inviting everyone to join this renewed celebration of choral music in one of Central Europe’s cultural centres, in the prestigious concert halls of historical Budapest.
